Thank you – Parents of Children With Special Needs

Thank you - Parents of Children With Special Needs - - -
2 min read

I recently surfed through my special needs Facebook groups and I became overwhelmed with gratitude and tears.  As I scroll through each post of parents sharing their struggles, their successes, and more, I felt blessed. The responses by other parents with comments that said, “I’m praying for you!” or “You can do it!” and “That happened to me!” brings me joy. I love how parents show love and kindness to one another. So today, I decided to use this opportunity to say, “Thank you” to every parent of a child with special needs in these groups.

1- Thank you for helping other parents by sharing your experience. Your life and what you have been through helps beyond what you can imagine.

2- Thank you for encouraging other parents of children with special needs. Your encouragement uplifts and helps me and others to keep moving when the “going gets tough.”

3- Thank you for giving your advice. When you share your advice, it allows us to see that there are other alternatives and options in raising our children with special needs.

4- Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing your difficult times. When you show your weakness, it allows me to know that it is all right to be weak.

5- Thank you for being strong. When you share your stories of strength, it shows me that I too am strong and will not always be weak.

6- Thank you for not giving up, because it shows me that I should not give up either.

7- Thank you for being an inspiration. It shows me that I can stay on this journey with my child.

8- Thank you for loving your child and raising them, showing me that I can do the same.

9- Thank you for allowing me to share my story with you so that I can do the same for you.

10- Thank you for your kindness.

11- Thank you for your prayers.

12- Thank you for being a part of these special needs parenting groups that not only helps me, but other parents across the world.

Thank you so very much.  I love my special needs Facebook groups and I am blessed to be a part of a warm and caring community of parents raising children with special needs. - -
